Engagement & Pricing
How do your engagements differ from a typical consulting project?
We operate as your fractional strategy function, essentially acting as your Fractional Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Instead of a one‑off report, we set an operating cadence with leadership, define choices, and coordinate execution with owners and managers. Deliverables are working plans and decisions that the team can run, not slide libraries.
Do you work month‑to‑month or by initiative?
Both. Most clients start with a focused initiative (clarify strategy, redesign operating rhythm, or financial priorities), then continue month‑to‑month to maintain momentum. We set scope and review checkpoints up front.
How do you price?
Pricing is based on scope and access, not hours. We align on the problem, the stakeholders involved, and the level of ongoing coordination required. You’ll receive a clear proposal with inclusions, exclusions, and review dates.
Can you provide a fixed fee?
Yes, for well‑defined initiatives. For ongoing advisory or fractional roles, we use a monthly retainer with a defined set of outcomes and routines.
What is included vs. not included?
Included: working sessions, decision frameworks, facilitation with leadership, and documented priorities. Not included: long‑term staff augmentation, software development, or services outside our strategy scope. When needed, we coordinate with your trusted vendors.
Do you take equity or performance‑based compensation?
Generally no. We keep compensation simple to protect objectivity. Exceptionally, if incentives help alignment and governance is clear, we can discuss.

How We Work
Cadence, Collaboration, Deliverables)
What happens in the first 30–60–90 days?
Discovery and alignment with owners and functional leads; clarify choices; set the operating rhythm; document and communicate priorities. We adjust the plan as we learn from your team and market.
Who is in the room?
Owners or the principal decision maker, finance lead, and functional leaders as needed. We keep sessions focused and short, with pre‑work circulated in advance.
Do you execute or only advise?
We lead the strategy function and coordinate execution with your team. Acting as your fractional CSO, we don’t replace department heads; we unify them under a shared rhythm. When there are gaps, we help you select and manage the right partners.
How do you communicate between sessions?
A simple weekly rhythm: short updates, decisions needed, and blockers. We’ll use your existing tools (email, docs, or project boards) to avoid adding noise.
What do deliverables look like?
We don't deliver presentations, we deliver change. When needed, we can provide concise decision memos, prioritization lists, financial and operating guardrails, and a working plan that leaders can brief to their teams. Everything connects back to the agreed choices.
How do you measure progress?
We track a few leading and lagging indicators tied to the engagement scope. Examples: clarity of priorities, cycle time for decisions, unit economics guardrails, capacity plans, customer pipeline quality. We review and refine these in each checkpoint.

Scope & Outcomes
What problems do you help solve most often?
Lack of strategic clarity, stalled growth with busy teams, unclear financial priorities, and leadership cadence issues. We help owners make focused choices and turn them into routines the organization can follow.
What outcomes can a mid‑market, family‑owned, or large company expect?
Sharper priorities, simpler execution rhythms, and better alignment across leadership. Specific financial or market outcomes depend on your context and implementation.
What do you not do?
We do not sell off‑the‑shelf “transformations,” manage paid media, or act as outsourced departments. Our role is to lead strategy with you and coordinate execution across your existing teams and partners.
Are you a process improvement firm?
No. Processes improve as an outcome of strategy, not the other way around. We don’t just fix processes, we design strategy around market position, pricing and profit, structure, and execution. That way, processes are aligned to serve the bigger goal, not become the goal themselves.
Can you help if we already have a plan?
Yes. We stress‑test the plan, simplify priorities, and set an operating routine so the plan is used, not shelved.

Fit & Industries
Which industries do you work with?
Our services are not industry-specific. Strategy is universal. We serve large corporations, owner‑led, and mid‑market businesses across Puerto Rico and the U.S., including services, manufacturing, healthcare, consumer, and B2B companies. We adapt methods to the business model rather than forcing a template.
Are startups a fit?
Early‑stage companies with active leadership and real customer traction can be a fit. If basic product‑market fit or governance is not in place, we’ll recommend next steps before a formal engagement.
Do you replace our COO, CFO, or CMO?
No. We coordinate across these roles to align choices and cadence. When a leadership gap exists, we help scope the role and, if needed, support the hiring process.

Puerto Rico & U.S. Coverage
Do you work on‑site in Puerto Rico?
Yes. We prioritize Puerto Rico and also serve U.S. clients. On‑site sessions are planned around key milestones; routine work can happen virtually to respect your team’s time.
Do you work in Spanish and English?
Yes. Sessions and documentation can be bilingual. We keep terms consistent so teams don’t get lost in translation.
How do you handle multi‑location teams?
We set a simple cross‑site rhythm with clear owners for decisions and updates. Tools are kept light so each location can participate without extra overhead.

Leadership, Governance & Confidentiality
Who leads the engagement?
A senior strategist works directly with owners and the leadership team. You’ll know exactly who is in the room and who is accountable.
How is sensitive information handled?
We follow a need‑to‑know approach, keep materials in your systems when possible, and use secure channels for financial documents and board materials. NDAs are standard.
What if we disagree internally?
We create a decision forum with clear criteria so trade‑offs are made explicitly. Disagreement is normal; the routine makes it productive.
Do you provide references or examples of past work?
Yes, upon request and with client permission. We share context and approach, not confidential numbers.

Getting Started
What do you need from us to start?
A primary point of contact, access to current plans and financials, and agreement on the first set of choices to tackle. We’ll outline the cadence and schedule your first working session.
How soon can we begin?
We schedule based on availability and readiness. If pre‑work is needed, we’ll map it out so the first session is productive.
What happens after the initial engagement?
Many clients continue with a fractional rhythm to maintain alignment and adjust choices as conditions change. Others transition fully to internal leadership with periodic check‑ins.
